Shakespeare Retold 2005 - Macbeth

Modern version of this Shakespeare tragedy.
James McAvoy is Macbeth and Keely Hawes is Lady Macbeth.
Joe Macbeth is a chef at a restaurant that just became three stars. Ella (Lady) Macbeth made him realise that without his work, the head chef (Duncan the king) wouldn't be where he is today.
After Macbeth is convinced, with Ella's help, to kill Duncan, he shortly realises that the success it will bring him was not worth it. Joe's marriage is in a downward spiral, because both Ella and Joe are racked with guilt about killing Duncan - until it ultimately costs them their lives.
